You'll be joining an established business that is approx. $400m T/O and this is an opportunity for an ambitious Senior Financial Accountant seeking broader responsibility as you develop your skills as you move towards an FC position.

What you'll do:

This isn't a role where you'll spend the next couple of years doing the same month-end process.

The business has recently moved to SAP S/4HANA, and you'll play a key role in stabilising and improving the system, while also taking ownership across financial and statutory reporting, controls, treasury, tax and derivatives.

Longer term, there is scope to work on automation, AI, digital improvements and simplifying domestic and international tax processes.

So, yes, you'll still be accountable for the numbers. But this is also about improving how the finance function operates.

You'll sit within an eight-person finance team and report to a very good Financial Controller.

There are no direct reports, but you'll have plenty of influence across the finance function and the wider business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial, management and statutory reporting
• External audit and accounting standards
• Financial controls, reconciliations and control improvement
• Supporting treasury and cash-flow forecasting
• International tax compliance and reporting
• Derivative and hedge accounting
• SAP S/4HANA optimisation following the recent implementation
• Identifying opportunities for automation and better use of technology and AI
• Process improvement across finance
• Working with operational and technical stakeholders to provide commercial insight
• Supporting and developing other members of the finance team

Who you are:

You'll be someone serious about the next step in their career and be ready and willing to explore a new way of life.
You don't need to have performed all the duties listed above but you will be someone with an appetite to learn and develop.

You'll bring:

• 5+ years' finance experience within a sizeable or complex organisation
• CA / CPA qualified
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience in ANZ
• Solid ERP experience: SAP/S4HANA would be ideal
• Strong Excel skills
• Exposure to areas such as tax, treasury, derivatives or statutory reporting would be highly regarded
• A genuine interest in systems and process improvement
• The confidence to question how things are done and suggest a better way
• The ambition to take on more responsibility over time
