Company Overview

Profusion is working with a well renowned, market leading investment management industry leader who is looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with solid .NET development and application support experience.

Role Overview

This role will see you work collaboratively within an experienced technology team supporting and developing a range of critical enterprise applications used across the organisation.

You will be responsible for the ongoing functionality of core applications, combining hands-on .NET development, application support, SQL development and technical troubleshooting.

The role will involve resolving production incidents and service requests, undertaking root cause analysis, developing permanent solutions and delivering enhancements across existing applications.

You will also analyse existing code, debug, develop queries and reports, test application changes and work closely with technology and business stakeholders.

Experience and skills

• Sound C# / .NET development experience
• Excellent SQL development and database skills
• Strong commercial Application Support / Production Support experience
• Experience developing, debugging and supporting enterprise applications
• .NET Framework experience
• Web API / REST API experience
• Microsoft Azure experience
• Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) experience highly regarded
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience managing incidents, problems and service requests
• Experience testing application fixes and enhancements
• Strong understanding of code change, release and deployment processes
• Financial Services, Investments, Funds Management and/or Wealth Management experience desirable
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
