This role oversees operations across our cafes located in Coniston, Horsley (Illawarra) and Hammondville (South-West Sydney) and our growing catering business.

The Café & Catering Manager plays an instrumental role in overseeing the smooth day-to-day operations of our cafés and catering business. This role joins our team full-time, working Tuesday to Saturday. As our sites operate across three locations, the successful candidate must be flexible to travel between work site locations as required to support operational and business needs.

In addition, you enjoy a busy and varied workday, juggling café and catering management responsibilities that include:

  • Providing leadership, mentoring and direction to on-site café coordinators
  • Setting the standard for an exceptional customer experience
  • Stock management and product quality
  • Preparation, presentation and seasonal updating of menu items
  • Ensure consistency in excellence of coffee service and quality
  • Ensuring a high standard of venue presentation, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Working with café coordinators to complete rostering
  • Reporting and correcting safety and maintenance issues.
  • Work with GM of Employment & Enterprises to develop and implement future growth strategies

Beyond this, you provide quality supervision, training, and guidance to a team of Café staff, ensuring allocated tasks align with individual abilities, needs, and employment goals.

The annual salary for this role is up to $93,000, inclusive of phone allowance (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon relevant experience and qualification.

About You

Our Café & Catering Manager brings with them ambition, passion, and creativity, along with:

  • Minimum 5 years café management experience
  • Nationally Recognised Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) certification
  • Awareness of disability
  • Proven success working within budgets and to sales targets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with participants, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
  • Commitment to delivering high level customer service.
  • Willingness and ability to travel between the organisation's three locations as required to support operational and business needs.
  • Cleared Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain and a current valid Driver Licence
