ABI Civil Contracting NSW is a progressive Australian civil contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across NSW and ACT.
Our projects span transport infrastructure, bridges, utilities, renewable energy, high voltage substations, data centres, defence and major commercial developments.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join our Estimating team.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects.
Working closely with our estimating and project delivery teams, you will be responsible for reviewing project documentation, completing quantity take-offs, obtaining subcontractor and supplier pricing, and assisting in the development of comprehensive tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare quantity take-offs and pricing build-ups.
Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and pricing schedules.
Support the development of construction methodologies and procurement strategies.
Identify project risks and opportunities.
Participate in tender reviews and project handovers.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 3 years' estimating experience within the Australian civil construction industry.
Experience preparing or assisting in the preparation of civil infrastructure tenders.
Strong quantity take-off and analytical skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive and team-oriented approach.
A current NSW Driver Licence.
What We Offer
Competitive salary package ($130,000 - $160,000 + Superannuation).
