Due to continued growth and increasing equipment demand across Victoria, the business is seeking an experienced Senior Service Technician to join the Melbourne-based technical team.

OPPORTUNITY

This role is responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and technical support of specialised food processing and packaging equipment across customer sites throughout Victoria.

Working within a highly regarded national technical team, the successful candidate will support customers throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria while also assisting with equipment preparation, workshop activities and customer training when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, commission and configure food processing and packaging equipment at customer production facilities
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform preventative and corrective maintenance across a range of specialised processing systems
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting to ensure minimal production downtime for customers
• Prepare equipment for delivery including testing, configuration and workshop-based commissioning activities
• Travel to customer sites across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required to support equipment installations and servicing
• Maintain clear documentation of service work, equipment reports and parts requirements
• Liaise with customers, internal service teams and technical specialists to resolve equipment issues efficiently
• Provide customer training on equipment operation, maintenance procedures and safety practices
• Assist with workshop activities, equipment assembly and pre-delivery inspections as required
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety procedures and customer site requirements

CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will ideally have a strong mechanical service background and experience working with industrial equipment within manufacturing, production or processing environments. Suitable backgrounds may include:

• Mechanical fitter or service technician experience
• Industrial equipment servicing or installation
• Manufacturing or production plant maintenance
• Food processing or packaging machinery
• Industrial machinery, automation or mechanical systems
• Field service or maintenance technician experience
