About the role

Consilium Conveyancing Pty Ltd is seeking a Licensed Conveyancer to join our team in Williams Landing, VIC 3027. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality conveyancing services to our clients. As a Licensed Conveyancer, you will be at the forefront of property transactions, ensuring all legal requirements are met and clients receive expert guidance through the conveyancing process. This role is essential to our business operations and directly contributes to client satisfaction and the success of our practice.

What you'll be doing

Managing residential and commercial property conveyancing matters from initial instructions through to settlement

Preparing and reviewing contracts of sale, transfer documents, and other legal instruments required for property transactions

Conducting property searches and due diligence investigations to identify potential issues and advise clients accordingly

Liaising with clients, real estate agents, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes

Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Conveyancing Act and consumer protection laws

Preparing settlement statements and managing financial transactions associated with property sales and purchases

Attending settlement meetings and coordinating post-settlement requirements

Maintaining accurate and comprehensive file documentation and record-keeping practices

Providing clear and professional advice to clients regarding their rights, obligations, and options during property transactions

Identifying and flagging risks or complications to senior staff or management as required

What we're looking for

Current Conveyancing Practitioner's Certificate or equivalent qualification recognised in Victoria

Active License to practise as a Licensed Conveyancer in Victoria

Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial conveyancing matters

Strong knowledge of conveyancing legislation, property law, and settlement procedures

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients

Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously

Proficiency in conveyancing software and practice management systems

Professional approach to client service with a commitment to delivering timely and accurate advice

Problem-solving ability and sound judgment in addressing conveyancing challenges

Knowledge of current market practices and familiarity with local property markets in Victoria

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
