Start Your Career in Early Childhood Education

Are you 18 years or older, passionate about working with young children and ready to build a rewarding career in Early Childhood Education?

Amaze Redbank Plains is looking for a Trainee Educator to join our warm, inclusive and multicultural team. This is an exciting opportunity to work while you study, gaining practical experience in an early learning environment while progressing towards your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

You don't need to have years of experience. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, a genuine interest in children and a willingness to learn.

✨ What You'll Be Doing

As a Trainee Educator, you will:

Work alongside experienced Early Childhood Educators and learn through hands-on experience.

Support the education, care, safety and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years.

Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and your colleagues.

Participate in play-based learning and contribute to children's learning and development.

Learn how to plan, document and reflect on children's learning as part of your studies.

Develop your understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework.

Participate in professional development, workplace learning and your required study commitments.

Contribute to a team culture built around RESPECT, collaboration, inclusion and belonging.

Develop an appreciation and understanding of First Nations cultures and perspectives.

🎓 Work + Study + Build Your Career

This is an employment-based traineeship opportunity, meaning you will learn both on the job and through formal training with an approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

You will be expected to take responsibility for your studies, including completing workplace learning, assessments and other course requirements within the required timeframes.

Amaze will support you to develop your skills and confidence as you work towards your qualification.

Government-funded traineeship arrangements may be available to eligible applicants, subject to the applicable Queensland Government funding requirements, the qualification, training contract and RTO arrangements. Eligibility for government funding is assessed individually and cannot be guaranteed by the employer.

Has the right to work in Australia and can meet the eligibility requirements for the proposed traineeship and training arrangement.

Is genuinely interested in building a career in Early Childhood Education.

Is reliable, responsible and willing to learn.

Can follow instructions and accept guidance from experienced educators and leaders.

Is committed to the safety, wellbeing and positive development of children.

Can build respectful relationships with children, families and team members.

Is comfortable working with children aged 0–5 years.

Is willing and able to complete both workplace and formal study requirements.

Can meet assessment, training and study deadlines and demonstrate satisfactory progress.

Is available to work up to 37.5 hours per week, across 5 days, including availability for at least one opening or closing shift each week.

Supports an inclusive environment where every child, family and educator feels a genuine sense of belonging.
