About the role

Merimbula Airport is seeking a casual Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) to join our operations team at Merimbula Airport in Merimbula, NSW. This is a crucial on-ground role responsible for monitoring airport operations, reporting airfield conditions, and ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations. As an ARO, you will be the critical link between ground operations and flight crews, providing essential information that directly impacts flight safety and operational efficiency. This casual position offers flexibility whilst contributing to the smooth functioning of Australia's civil aviation infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

Runway Inspections

Ground Maintenance

Dealing with the Airlines

Compliance

Bagagge Handling

Marshalling aircraft during arrival and departure

Applicants must be prepared to undertake:

Weekend and Public Holiday work

Ability to work early morning shifts and evening shifts.

Obtain a ASIC

Pre employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.

High level of grooming and presentation

Team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Strong problem solving

Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 32kg.

Self motivated and adaptable to schedule changes
