Cooriemungle Holsteins is looking for an experienced, motivated and innovative Dairy Farmer to join their existing family farm team. This position will be 2IC and assist with the day to day running of the farm.

The successful person will need to be able to do the following and possess the skills to achieve.

Breed and raise cattle for the production of milk.

Monitor and maintain the health of all dairy animals

Move animals to optimise feed requirements

Organise and conduct farming operations such as herding, milking, calf rearing, feeding of young stock and mature herd.

Oversee general farming operation including supervision of new staff in conjunction with dairy manager

Assist and maintain record keeping for all things related to the milking herd, calf rearing, health, growth targets and grazing movements to achieve optimum growth for milk production.

Ability to learn and embrace new ideas, ability to organise and train new staff and support Dairy Manager in achieving good outcomes for all the team.

Must have a minimum of three years experience in dairying or be able to show farming experience that can be transferred into our scenario.

Salary range will be between $75000. and $85000. plus superannuation.
