About us

Succession Ecology is a multi-faceted environmental business, providing a broad range of services in ecological consulting and research, landscape scale restoration, and native seed supply. We focus on finding unique solutions in nature and are passionate about applying ecological processes to achieve cost-effective outcomes for our clients.

Our company has a strong focus on culture, values, team building, and business growth. We trust our employees to make decisions and deliver projects from start to finish, and we support them to grow in their roles. Succession Ecology has been nationally recognised by winning the 2023 Telstra Best of Business, Promoting Sustainability Award for South Australia and the 2024 CORE Innovation Hot 30 Sustainability Innovation Award. Our consulting teams specialise in:

Ecological assessments and approvals to support legislative compliance.

The identification and mitigation of impacts to ecological assets.

Large-scale management and restoration of arid ecosystems.

The application of scientific methods and data analysis to optimise ecosystem management and restoration.

Our consultants produce technical reports, regulatory approvals, and management plans for threatened species, coastal protection, weed control, and development sites. Team members must be able to prioritise tasks, deliver reports within tight timeframes, and undertake frequent travel for field work.
