On this occasion we have an amazing opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer to join the pre-construction delivery team of a major South East Queensland road authority, based in the Nerang/Gold Coast corridor. Working alongside the Project Manager, you'll play a hands-on role supporting the delivery of state-controlled road infrastructure — from business case through design to construction-ready documentation.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager (Pre-Construction), you'll provide task-focused engineering support across the project lifecycle — maintaining budgets, forecasts and schedules across TMR systems, assisting with procurement and progress claims, supporting contract administration (variations, EOTs, delay claims), and keeping documentation and stakeholder communication running smoothly. You'll get exposure to site visits, technical meetings, and the full breadth of pre-construction delivery on a fast-growing regional program.
What You'll Bring
- Four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), Washington Accord accredited (or Engineers Australia-recognised equivalent)
- Current RPEQ registration (mandatory — no exceptions)
- Minimum 8 years' experience delivering transport infrastructure projects
- Current Class C driver's licence
- Construction induction (White Card)
- Ability to pass a criminal history check (mandatory due to access to sensitive data)
The Details
- 12-month contract with two further 12-month extension options (3 year total contract)
- Competitive hourly rate, up to circa $140/hr + Super
- Nerang-based, supporting one of Queensland's busiest road delivery regions
