Revenue & Billing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Revenue & Billing Manager to lead a national invoicing function within a fast-paced transport and logistics environment.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on accuracy, process improvement and commercial outcomes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring revenue is captured correctly, billing processes operate efficiently, and the business continues to improve its systems and customer experience.

About the Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will lead and support a national invoicing team, overseeing the end-to-end billing function across multiple states.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring invoices are accurate, timely and compliant, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and revenue capture.

Key responsibilities

Lead and oversee the national invoicing team, driving accuracy, accountability and high performance

Ensure client invoices are raised accurately and on time across all states

Review and approve invoices prior to release

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, credits and adjustments

Ensure all jobs are correctly captured, costed and billed

Respond to and resolve customer billing queries professionally and efficiently

Monitor invoicing KPIs and provide meaningful reporting and insights to senior stakeholders

Identify and implement process improvements across the billing and revenue function

Drive automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy

Support the ongoing development of internal transport and logistics systems

Review and analyse external supplier invoices to ensure commercial accuracy

Work closely with Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Sales and senior leadership

Support team development, onboarding and capability building

Participate in system upgrades, testing, process mapping and business improvement projects

About You

You’ll be an experienced billing, revenue, invoicing or finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and improving the way things are done.

You will bring:

Previous experience leading or managing a billing/invoicing function

Strong attention to detail and a genuine focus on accuracy

Must have transport or Logistics experience

Strong commercial acumen and the ability to make practical business decisions

Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines

A customer-focused approach and strong stakeholder management skills

A collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing people

An improvement mindset with an interest in systems, automation and process optimisation
