About the role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, building strong client relationships, and managing a high-performing sales team. This role is crucial to our client's business objectives and will position you as a key member of our leadership team, directly impacting the hotel's financial performance and market presence.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across room bookings, conferences, events, and ancillary services

Lead, mentor and manage a sales team, ensuring targets are met and staff are motivated and professionally developed

Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, travel agents, tour operators and event planners

Identify new business opportunities and market segments to expand the hotel's revenue streams

Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations to prospective clients and stakeholders

Monitor market trends, competitive activity and pricing strategies to ensure the hotel remains competitive

Collaborate with the operations and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction

Analyze sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management

Attend industry events and networking functions to generate leads and strengthen the hotel's market position

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of proven sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferably within a hotel environment

Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a results-driven environment

Excellent leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to inspire and develop staff

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels

In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, room sales, conference and event management

Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) and sales CRM software

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound business acumen

Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and maintain a professional demeanor
