Manager
Murray House Wentworth Aged Care
Part-Time (0.6 FTE) | $100,000 – $120,000 FTE (Pro-Rata) | Wentworth, NSW
About Us
Murray House Wentworth Aged Care is a community-owned, not-for-profit aged care facility providing high-quality, person-centred care to up to 70 residents. Overseen by a voluntary Board of Directors, we're proud of our supportive, home-like environment where dignity, independence and respect come first.
As a not-for-profit, our ability to keep improving services, facilities and resident outcomes depends on grants, donations and community support — and that's where this role comes in.
About the Role
We're looking for a driven and relationship-focused Fundraising, Grants and Community Partnerships Manager to lead the development and delivery of Murray House's fundraising, grants and community engagement strategy.
Reporting to the CEO, you'll play a key role in strengthening our financial sustainability — identifying and securing external funding to support capital replacement, resident wellbeing initiatives and strategic growth, while reducing our reliance on operational revenue and resident fees.
This is a genuine opportunity to build something from the ground up: a fundraising strategy, a donor database, and a long-term bequest program, all while representing Murray House across the local community.
What You'll Be Doing
• Researching, preparing and submitting grant applications, and managing acquittals and compliance reporting
• Developing and delivering annual fundraising plans, campaigns and donor stewardship programs
• Building strategic relationships with government agencies, businesses, service clubs, trusts, foundations and donors
• Securing sponsorships to support equipment, programs and capital projects
• Working with the CEO and Executive Team to fund clinical equipment, IT, vehicles, facility upgrades and other capital priorities
• Contributing to business cases, funding submissions and strategic growth projects
• Producing donor impact reports, grant success stories and content for newsletters and annual reports
What We're Looking For
Essential:
• Demonstrated experience in grant writing, fundraising, business development or community engagement
• A track record of securing external funding through grants, sponsorships or fundraising activities
• Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities independently
• A relevant qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, Community Development, Fundraising or a related field
Desirable:
• Experience in aged care, health, disability or the not-for-profit sector
• Knowledge of philanthropic funding, charitable trusts and foundation grants
• Experience managing fundraising events or donor programs
• Marketing, communications or PR experience
• Fundraising Institute Australia, Grant Writing, Business Development or Project Management qualifications
Pre-employment requirements:
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Evidence of three COVID-19 vaccinations
Why Join Murray House?
• Make a tangible difference to the lives of older people in our community
• A newly-shaped role with real scope to set the strategic direction of fundraising and community partnerships
• Flexible part-time hours (0.6 FTE)
• Supportive, close-knit team culture within a respected community-owned organisation
