ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Tele Interview Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering a seamless new business experience. Managing your own portfolio of financial advisers, you’ll conduct customer tele-interviews, complete applications and partner closely with underwriting to deliver fast, high-quality outcomes. This is a relationship-driven role where your service mindset and attention to detail directly impact customer advocacy and business growth.
DUTIES
- Conduct customer tele-interviews to obtain medical and risk information
- Complete life insurance applications on behalf of financial advisers
- Manage and build strong relationships within your adviser portfolio
- Deliver cases within agreed service level timeframes
- Collaborate with underwriting to progress cases efficiently
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance turnaround times
- Support booking coordination and workflow management
- Promote the service proposition in adviser interactions
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required:
- 1–2+ years’ experience in Life Insurance (New Business, Underwriting or similar)
- Strong knowledge of life insurance products and underwriting processes
- Medical terminology training or equivalent knowledge
- Exceptional phone-based customer service skills
Key strengths:
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong active listening and questioning ability
- Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Highly regarded:
- Experience in a tele-interview or adviser-facing role
- Financial services qualifications
