About the Role

We are looking for experienced Group Insurance Claims Specialists to support critical claims management activities. This is a hands-on role managing an end-to-end portfolio across Income Protection and TPD claims, with potential exposure to Death & Trauma.

Location: Sydney | Melbourne | Brsibane (Hybrid)
Duration: 12-month contract

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an end-to-end claims portfolio across Income Protection and TPD

• Apply delegated authority to assess and make decisions on complex claims

• Maintain a proactive case management approach to support claimants' recovery and return to work

• Manage a high-volume caseload (~50 claims open at any time) in a fast-paced environment

• Produce strong written file notes, assessment summaries, and recommendations

What You Need to Be Successful

Non-negotiable:

• Minimum 1 year life insurance claims experience from an insurer perspective (not trustee-side, general insurance, or workers' comp)

• Hands-on IP and/or TPD assessment experience with delegated authority

• Able to hit the ground running — no training capacity

• Strong written communication: file notes, assessment summaries, recommendations

You will also have:

• Experience in Group and/or Life Insurance claims management

• High technical proficiency in Income Protection / Salary Continuance and TPD assessment

• Demonstrated end-to-end claims ownership

• Strong analytical reasoning and written communication

• Experience working within regulated insurance environments
