IBE Contracting Pty Ltd is a Northern Territory-owned civil construction company established in 2019. We deliver a range of civil construction and infrastructure works across the NT, including roadworks, earthworks, drainage, concrete works, pavement rehabilitation, protection works and general civil construction.

We are looking for an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our growing team and oversee the safe, efficient and successful delivery of civil construction projects across Darwin and surrounding remote areas.

About the Role

As a Civil Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of civil construction works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced supervisor who can lead a small to medium-sized civil construction crew, coordinate plant and materials, and work effectively with project management, clients, subcontractors and the site team.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil construction activities

Lead and manage site crews, subcontractors and plant operators

Plan daily work and allocate labour, plant and resources

Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements

Read and interpret plans, specifications and project documentation

Monitor quality, productivity and progress against project schedules

Coordinate materials, deliveries, plant and equipment

Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site inspections

Ensure SWMS, environmental and safety requirements are followed

Identify and resolve site issues and communicate progress to project management

Maintain accurate site records, dockets, timesheets and daily reports

Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders

Assist with project programming and planning as required

Promote a positive safety culture across the project

About You

We are looking for someone who is a confident and experienced civil supervisor with a strong understanding of civil construction practices and the ability to lead a team.

Essential:

Demonstrated experience in a Civil Supervisor or similar supervisory role

Strong understanding of civil construction processes and site requirements

Proven ability to lead and manage site crews

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Current Australian driver's licence

Machinery Tickets

Good communication and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site

Desirable:

Relevant civil construction qualifications

Plant operation tickets

Experience with roadworks, earthworks, drainage and pavement construction

First Aid qualification

Experience working on NT or remote civil projects
