We are seeking an Guest Services and Administration Officer to join our team at our organic vineyard, Small Wonder, located in the Tamar Valley region, on a full time, six month basis.

About the Role

This role will report to the Operations Manager, and provide administrative, customer service and team support that helps keep the business running smoothly and efficiently. You will be the first point of contact, and play an important role in creating positive experiences while ensuring bookings, enquiries, communications and day-to-day administration are managed professionally and accurately.

The role will:

Be the first point of contact for phone, email and online enquiries

Manage restaurant, tasting and event bookings

Maintain reservation systems, guest databases and customer records

Handle guest feedback, requests and queries professionally

Support the promotion of events and experiences

Provide daily admin support across the venue, including managing documentation and filing, invoice processing, coordinating meetings, monitoring office supplies

As a new venue, this role will play a key role in implementing and documenting the processes within our guest services and admin functions

Assist with onboarding and welcoming new team members to the team

Be the key driver of team connection and morale, through planning team events and celebrations, team culture and inclusion initiatives, and team communication

About You

We’re looking for someone with strong admin experience who is comfortable in fast moving environments. You should be adaptable, willing to learn, and able to pick up new processes quickly and identify efficiencies.

Our new team member will have:

Experience in an admin, guest services, bookings or reception role in customer-facing environment, such as hospitality

Adaptable and resilient, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

Ability to remain calm under pressure and when needing to multitask and manage competing priorities

A strong and thoughtful communicator who builds trust with guests, colleagues, and suppliers alike

Confident using computers, learning new software systems, and optimising existing processes

Ability to take initiative and proactively solve problems as and before they arise

An eye for defining and streamlining processes

Professional, collaborative and personable, fitting naturally into a close-knit venue team

A genuine passion for food, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences
