Position: APS6 Facilities and Office Manager
Location: Perth, WA
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Approx 6 months with potential to extend
Pay rate: $63.94 - $71.60 per hour plus 12% superannuation
Security requirements:Baseline clearance required

Overview:
This is a unique and varied APS6 Facilities and Office Manager role responsible for coordinating accommodation management, delivering operational protective security risk management, and ensuring office compliance with policies and procedures to support both operational and strategic outcomes.

Working on-site, you will operate with a high level of autonomy, professionalism and integrity in a fast-paced environment. This role may also require occasional out-of-hours availability to manage urgent building or facilities issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate accommodation management activities including fit-outs, refurbishments, maintenance, and repairs to ensure office spaces are functional and compliant
  • Act as the primary contact for building-related issues, including emergency response coordination
  • Provide operational advice on facilities, property, asset management, and protective security frameworks
  • Deliver training on security procedures and promote a strong risk-aware culture
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, service providers, and building management to ensure effective service delivery
  • Support staff with workspace allocation, event coordination, and facilities-related requests
  • Assist with WHS matters and ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, including asset registers and stocktakes, and respond to information requests

Experience/requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in property, facilities, risk, or asset management within a government or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, frameworks, and best practice approaches
  • Ability to lead and respond effectively during service disruptions or emergency situations
  • Experience delivering training and coordinating events or operational activities
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build productive relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse data, maintain accurate records, and provide informed advice
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and exercise sound judgement
