Why You’ll Love This Role

You’ll play a hands-on role in enhancing and maintaining the City’s urban forest. Working across parks and streetscapes, you’ll help create safer, greener and more attractive public spaces while operating specialised equipment and contributing to a high-performing team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate water truck for tree maintenance
  • Plant and establish street and park trees
  • Water trees across City locations
  • Stake, tie and support young trees
  • Apply mulch to improve tree health
  • Perform ground-based formative pruning tasks
  • Maintain safe, clean public spaces
  • Attend toolbox meetings and safety briefings

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

We're looking for a safety focused outdoor professional who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining community spaces. You'll ideally bring:

  • Current MR Driver’s Licence
  • Certificate in basic traffic management
  • Experience operating trucks and plant equipment
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Team-focused approach to daily operations
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to use mobile devices effectively
  • Horticulture or Arboriculture qualification desirable
