Founder led property and construction group which has achieved sustained growth through strong operational leadership and in integrating complementary business verticals

The group are undertaking a pivotal time in their growth ahead of interstate expansion and potential acquisitions and as such are looking to make the first time appointment of a Financial Controller to take over the reigns of the function

• Build a robust finance function providing accurate reporting, reconciliations and financial visibility across the Group
• Establish systems and processes to deliver month-end reporting business day and enable accurate, real-time reporting across all entities.
• Reduce reliance on external accountants, limiting their involvement primarily to year-end compliance
• Lead and oversee accounts payable and receivable
• Improve cash flow management, ensuring receivables remain within agreed terms and overdue balances are actively managed
• Strengthen payroll processes
• Ensure accuracy in data between accounting and project management systems
• Work with the directors to improve financial discipline, controls and business processes

About you

• Are an experienced Finance Manager, FC or Head of Finance with experience in the property or construction sector
• Back yourself to implement controls, fix broken processes and drive best practice
• Have worked in small or medium sized business before
