The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an SMSF Accountant to join the firm's specialist SMSF team.

Working directly alongside the SMSF Manager, you'll assist in managing a portfolio of approximately 400 Self-Managed Super Funds while receiving ongoing mentoring, technical training, and exposure to a broad range of SMSF matters.

About the Role

As part of the specialist SMSF team, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing SMSF financial statements and income tax returns.
• Assisting with the management and administration of a portfolio of approximately 400 SMSFs.
• Supporting the SMSF Team Leader to ensure compliance obligations and client deadlines are achieved.
• Building strong relationships with clients and assisting with fund establishments, pension-phase funds and property purchases.
• Liaising with financial advisers and other internal specialists to deliver outstanding client outcomes.
• Maintaining exceptional technical standards and client service.

About You

You'll ideally have:

• 2-4 years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
• Previous SMSF experience or a genuine desire to specialise in SMSF accounting.
• Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience using Class Super (preferred but not essential).
• CA/CPA qualified or currently studying (or intending to commence).
