Supervisor, Butcher, Skinner and Boner Roles

About the Role

Australian Bush Harvest is seeking experienced Supervisors, Butchers, Skinners and Boners to join our growing team. Immediate start available.

These full-time positions are integral to the operation of Australia's first mobile game meat processing facility. Successful applicants will be responsible for processing high-quality wild game meat for distribution throughout New South Wales and beyond.

The facility will initially be based in Brayton, NSW. As a mobile operation, the workplace location is expected to move to other regional areas of NSW after approximately six months.

Key Responsibilities

· Expertly butcher, skin and bone a variety of wild game species to required specifications, or supervise employees performing these duties.

· Bone, trim and cut wild game carcasses including deer, goats, wild boar and rabbits.

· Ensure all processing activities comply with food safety, HACCP, WHS and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.

· Operate or supervise the operation of meat processing equipment and machinery with precision and care.

· Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation and cold chain control standards.

· Assist with or supervise inventory management and stock control.

· Work collaboratively with the wider production team to maximise operational efficiency.

· Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment at all times.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

· Certificate III in Meat Processing or an equivalent qualification.

· Formal qualifications in Meat Processing or a related discipline.

· At least one year of practical experience as a Butcher, Skinner or Boner in a commercial meat processing environment.

· Excellent knife handling and carcass processing skills.

· The ability to work efficiently in a cold production environment.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

· Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· Australian working rights.

· Physical fitness and willingness to work in regional and remote locations.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

· NSW Food Handler or Food Safety qualifications.

· Manual driver's licence.

· Current First Aid and CPR certification.

· Previous supervisory experience.
