About the role

Link-Force Au is seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to join our team on a casual basis in West End, Brisbane & surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilising your specialist skills in formwork construction and installation. As a Formwork Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of concrete works on building sites.

Key responsibilities

Design, construct and install formwork systems for concrete structures in accordance with engineering specifications and project requirements

Measure, cut and shape timber and other materials to precise specifications using hand and power tools

Erect and dismantle formwork safely, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations

Inspect formwork for structural integrity, stability and alignment before concrete pouring

Collaborate with other trades, supervisors and engineers to ensure seamless project coordination

Maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on formwork installation and removal

Adhere to all site safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices

Identify and report defects or issues with formwork to site management promptly

What we're looking for

Proven experience working as a Formwork Carpenter on commercial or residential construction projects

Trade qualification or formal apprenticeship in carpentry with specialisation in formwork

Strong knowledge of formwork systems, materials, techniques and best practices

Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in formwork carpentry

Excellent ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications

Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to formwork operations

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

What we offer

$60 per hour plus Super (TFN)

$70 per hour (PTY)

8-10 hour days Monday to Saturday

Ongoing consistent work
