Opus has partnered with a leading infrastructure developer delivering large-scale renewable and energy transition projects across the Asia-Pacific region. They specialise in developing, building, and operating assets such as wind, solar, and battery storage, with capabilities spanning the full project lifecycle.

The company is looking for a Cyber Security Manager, with experience in the energy sector, to lead the cyber security function and deliver strategic & technical guidance to ensure compliance of cyber security & industry frameworks, policies and guidelines.

The Cyber Security Manager will be leading both current & ongoing intiatives as well as upcoming exciting projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure compliance with cyber security regulations, including SOCI and AEMO NEM/NER requirements, while maintaining AESCSF SP-1 alignment.
  • Identify security gaps and drive remediation across critical infrastructure environments.
  • Own the cyber risk register and contribute to the Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Plan (CIRMP).
  • Report on cyber posture to governance forums, covering risks, incidents, and remediation activity.
  • Maintain and evolve security standards, managing exceptions and associated risks.
  • Provide security architecture guidance across projects, including BESS and SCADA environments.
  • Oversee SOC providers, monitor threats, and lead incident response, including regulatory reporting.
  • Manage third-party cyber risk, including supplier assessments and remote access controls.

What you need to succeed:

  • 10+ years experience in Cyber Security with 5+ years in Leadership / Management
  • Proven experience operating cyber security frameworks aligned to AESCSF and SOCI requirements.
  • Strong technical background in Incidence Response is highly regarded
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business audiences.
  • Background in energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure environments is advantageous, particularly with hands-on exposure to operational assets.
  • Relevant industry certifications in cyber security are considered a plus.
