Onetrak is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this critical leadership role will oversee the financial performance, governance, reporting and strategic direction of a growing national business operating across multiple states.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will provide strategic financial leadership while ensuring the effective management of the company's financial operations, cashflow, reporting obligations and compliance requirements. You will lead the Finance Team and work closely with Regional Managers, National Leaders and external stakeholders to support business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop the Finance Team, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and high-quality financial outcomes while fostering accountability, continuous improvement and professional growth

Proactively work with the Managing Director to implement the company’s goals and strategic plans

Undertake banking and cash control functions including;

Check daily Bank Statements

Control the release of EFT payments to local creditors

Organise payment of foreign supplier invoices

Preparation of daily cash flow actuals and forecasts

Process relevant month end journals as per Finance schedule

Prepare monthly financial reports and reconcile ledger accounts on a monthly basis

Analyse dealership specific KPIs

Attend and contribute to monthly management meetings

Machine Inventory management including floorplan accounts

Liaise with financiers and implement financial facilities as required for the business

Manage the company’s insurance facilities and annual renewal process

Monitor and organise foreign exchange contracts and options in accordance with FX policy

Creation of company and individual department budgets

Co-ordinate the completion of the group’s monthly and annual returns including workers compensation, payroll tax, FBT returns, income tax

Liaise with external auditors and accountants for preparation of financial statements

Liaise with external IT company to co-ordinate asset purchases

Maintenance of company ERP system including system administration

Other finance tasks as required

About You

You are a confident finance professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

Essential

Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance.

Member CA or CPA.

Customer Service Orientation and Negotiation skills

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles

Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software

Proficiency in English and in MS Office

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to meet strict deadlines

Ability to work un-supervised

Advanced Excel, ERP and accounting systems experience.

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Highly Regarded

Experience within the equipment, dealership, industrial, manufacturing or construction sectors.

Knowledge of floorplan finance facilities.

Foreign exchange management experience.

Experience managing external audits and compliance programs.
