We are seeking an experienced General Manager - Operations to lead the operational delivery of residential and community aged care services within a well-established aged care organisation. Reporting to the CEO this is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced aged care professional who can drive high-quality service delivery, support operational performance, and foster a positive culture across both residential and community care.

The Role:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across residential and community aged care services.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support positive outcomes for residents and clients.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring services are safe, efficient, compliant and financially sustainable.
• Lead and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive, accountable and collaborative workplace culture.
• Drive continuous improvement, quality and compliance across service operations.
• Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Build strong relationships with staff, residents, clients, families, stakeholders and external service providers.
• Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and implement organisational strategies and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant aged care legislation, regulations, standards and organisational policies.
• Support workforce planning, capability development, performance management and staff engagement.
• Oversee risk management, incident management and effective governance processes.
• Champion a culture focused on quality, innovation, accountability and person-centred care.

The Successful Applicant:

• Current AHPRA Registered Nurse (RN) registration is essential.
• Demonstrated senior leadership experience within residential aged care, ideally with exposure to community aged care.
• Strong understanding of the Australian aged care sector, legislation, regulations and quality standards.
• Proven experience leading teams and driving operational performance and service delivery.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality, compliance and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and organisational change.
• Strong financial and commercial awareness, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership, clinical teams, residents, clients and families.
• Strong people leadership skills, with a focus on culture, engagement and staff development.
• Highly organised, commercially minded and confident making strategic and operational decisions.
• Genuine commitment to person-centred care, resident wellbeing and positive client outcomes.
