Great builds don’t start on site.

They start with the right numbers, the right planning, and someone who knows how to bring it all together.

At Coast Homes, we build high-end custom homes — detailed, carefully designed, and built properly. To support that, we’re looking for a Construction Scheduler who can take drawings and specifications and turn them into clear, accurate, build-ready BoQs that set our projects up for success from day one.

This is a key role in our business — if the groundwork is right, everything runs better.

The Role

You’ll sit at the centre of pre-construction, translating drawings into accurate quantities and making sure jobs are properly planned before they hit site.

Your focus will be on:

Producing accurate BoQs from architectural, engineering and selections documentation

Measuring and quantifying materials across all key build components (from concrete through to finishes and fit-off)

Breaking quantities into logical packages aligned with construction stages and ordering

Reviewing drawings and specifications for completeness and consistency

Raising RFIs and working with design/estimating teams to resolve gaps before finalisation

Ensuring BoQs reflect our build methods and standard inclusions

Managing pre-start changes and variations

Keeping documentation structured and accurate across our systems

Working closely with estimating, design, construction teams and suppliers

Put simply — you make sure every job is costed, planned, and ready to run properly.

What You Bring

5+ years experience in estimating or scheduling

Experience with custom homes (ideally two-storey) preferable

Strong understanding of residential construction methods, drawings, and pre-construction workflows

Solid knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards and quantity measurement principles

Confidence working with BoQs, materials and build methodology

A sharp eye for detail — you don’t miss things others do

A practical, commercial mindset — you understand cost, risk and buildability

Strong organisation and time management

How You Work

You communicate clearly and get the information you need

You’re thorough — accuracy matters to you

You work well with others but take ownership of your role

You stay calm under pressure and keep things moving

You’re always looking to improve systems, templates and processes

Why Coast Homes?

Work on high-quality, custom homes — not cookie-cutter builds

Be part of a tight, capable team that values getting things right

Have a real impact on how projects are delivered

Stable pipeline and strong reputation in Perth

Direct access to leadership and input into how we operate

The Opportunity

This isn’t just scheduling — it’s setting projects up properly.

If you’re someone who takes pride in accuracy, planning and doing things right the first time, you’ll fit in well here.
