Are you an experienced Dental Assistant, Front Office Coordinator or Treatment Coordinator looking for a long-term opportunity within a busy, supportive and modern dental practice?

About the Role

This position may be structured as:

A dual Dental Assistant and Front Office/Treatment Coordinator role

A dedicated Dental Assistant role

A dedicated Front Office Coordinator role

The position includes alternate weekend work across Saturdays and Sundays.

As a Treatment Coordinator, you will play an active role in patient education, treatment presentation and follow-up. You will help patients understand their treatment options, address concerns and support them throughout their treatment journey.

You will also take a proactive approach to the daily appointment schedule, helping the clinical and front office teams maintain an organised and efficient patient flow.

We are a busy practice, so the successful candidate must be able to work confidently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, friendly and professional manner.

Front Office Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

Greeting and welcoming patients

Answering telephone, email and patient enquiries

Scheduling, confirming and managing appointments

Managing recalls and patient follow-up

Discussing treatment plans and assisting with treatment coordination

Responding to patient concerns and helping minimise cancellations

Processing patient accounts and payments through EFTPOS and HICAPS

Checking patients in and out of the practice

Completing general administrative duties

Assisting with stock control when required

Preparing reports relating to practice and patient activities

Dental Assisting Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

Preparing patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures

Providing chairside assistance across a broad range of procedures

Setting up instruments, materials and equipment

Cleaning and turning over dental surgeries

Sterilising and disinfecting instruments in accordance with current infection-control requirements

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised clinical environment

Taking dental radiographs, including OPGs, where appropriately trained

Providing oral hygiene and toothbrushing education to children and families

Supporting clinicians and fellow team members throughout the day

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous dental assisting experience

Is friendly, professional and confident with patients

Is proactive, organised and dependable

Works well as part of a team

Can remain calm and positive under pressure

Is comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced practice

Communicates well with adults and children

Demonstrates a genuine commitment to patient care

Is willing to work alternate weekends

Is seeking a stable, long-term position

Experience with dental practice software, HICAPS, appointment management or treatment coordination will be highly regarded.
