MUGGA WARA ENDOSCOPY CENTRE - Clinical Governance and Education Coordinator - RN (part-time)

Mugga Wara Endoscopy Centre was established in the ACT over 25 years ago as a private day hospital to accommodate privately funded and self-funded patients for a variety of gastroenterology procedures.

Our facility in Deakin comprises of two well equipped procedure rooms, modern pass-through cleaning/reprocessing equipment and an expansive recovery area.

We are currently looking for a part-time RN to complement our already experienced workforce. The Clinical Governance and Education Coordinator provides leadership in the development, implementation, and review of clinical governance systems, policies, procedures, quality improvement activities and staff education within Muggawara Endoscopy Centre.

The role is responsible for ensuring the Centre maintains best practice standards, meets accreditation requirements and delivers safe, high-quality patient-centred care. Approximately 25% of the role involves direct clinical nursing responsibilities, including functioning as a senior clinical nurse and supporting day-to-day clinical operations.

The position also provides mentoring, supervision and professional support to nursing staff and contributes to the ongoing development of a positive safety and quality culture at Muggawara Endoscopy Centre.

We are very conscious of family commitments and hope to accommodate personal flexibility/hours. The Centre is open 6.30am- 6pm Monday to Friday and closed on public holidays.

Criteria:

Registered Nurse with at least five years post graduate experience

Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)

Previous experience in endoscopy nursing

Good problem solving and communication skills

Ability to work in a small team under the supervision and direction of the Practice Manager/Medical Directors

Flexible in work hours

Australian resident, able to work in Australia without restrictions

Advantage/desirable:

Demonstrated experience in clinical governance, quality improvement and accreditation activities

Experience developing and reviewing clinical policies and procedures

Experience supervising and mentoring nursing staff

Demonstrated understanding of the NSQHS Standards

Strong understanding of infection prevention and control requirements
