About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Chef to join our team in a busy, HACCP-approved Cook Chill kitchen, delivering fresh, high-quality food services to the Aged Care sector.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of nutritious, well-balanced meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance.
Responsibilities include
Ensure all food service activities are carried out in accordance with the Food Safety Program (FSP), Bolton Clarke Food Standards, and direction from the General Manager
Assist with the ongoing development, maintenance, and adherence to standardised recipes
Plan and prepare delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals in line with the Bolton Clarke standard menu
Support kitchen operations including food preparation, stock control, ordering, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements
Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and crockery meet strict hygiene and cleanliness standards
Manage food and kitchen budgets in consultation with the General Manager
Support purchasing and ordering processes to ensure efficient stock levels
Foster a positive, cooperative, and team-focused working environment
Perform any other duties as required or directed by the General Manager
About You
To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate the following:
A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (essential)
Previous experience as a Chef is essential
Knowledge of good hygiene practices
Professional presentation
Prior to commencement - complete a National Police Check and or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)
