We are currently seeking Casual Meter Readers throughout Melbourne’s northern suburbs such as Mernda, South Morang, Mill Park, Wollert and surrounding regions, to join our team - Keep fit and get paid. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible to drive to an allocated route and autonomously walk from property to property, reading and recording utility consumption numbers in an electronic hand-held device. What you need

Current valid drivers license

Reliable motor vehicle and mobile phone

Ready to learn and able to work on your own

Able to undertake plenty of walking, bending and squatting

Able to work in most weather conditions

Able to work Mon-Fri, 30-38 hours per week

Flexible and comfortable with daily travel of up to, or more than 45 minutes each way

Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good attention to detail is required

Key Responsibilities

Accurately read allocated meter routes in a timely, efficient and safe manner

Uphold the Service Stream safety standards and publicly represent Service Stream and our clients in a professional manner

Understand and ensure targets are met

Ability to work independently but also work with other members of the team

Regularly communicate with office support team

Upload/download route information to/from hand-held device
