Zenith Search is currently seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics for FIFO roles on a major TSF project at Sino Iron in Western Australia.

This is a strong opportunity for trade-qualified HD Mechanics chasing long-term FIFO work, strong earning potential and exposure to a large heavy mobile plant fleet.

The project involves wet hire and full maintenance support for a large-scale HME fleet, supporting topsoil removal and construction of a major tailings storage facility embankment.

The Role

You will be working across a large heavy mobile equipment fleet, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs across major earthmoving machinery.

The fleet includes CAT, Hitachi and Komatsu equipment, so experience across these brands will be highly regarded.

Equipment On Site

You will be working across a large HME and SME fleet, including:

• Hitachi EX5600 and EX3600 Excavators
• Komatsu 830E Haul Trucks
• Caterpillar 793 Haul Trucks
• Caterpillar D11 Dozers
• Komatsu WA1200 Wheel Loaders
• Caterpillar 24M Graders
• Caterpillar 785C Water Carts

Duties Will Include

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile plant
• Diagnostics and fault-finding
• Breakdown support
• Preventative maintenance
• Working across CAT, Hitachi and Komatsu equipment
• Supporting site maintenance requirements across a large project fleet
• Completing paperwork and maintenance records
• Working safely in line with site procedures

What You Will Need

• Trade qualification as an HD Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Experience working on CAT, Hitachi or Komatsu equipment
• Strong heavy mobile plant maintenance experience
• HR Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Ability to complete DAS and mask fit testing
• Full working rights in Australia
• Strong safety focus
• Ability to work a 2:1 FIFO roster

Highly Regarded

• Mining maintenance experience
• Experience on haul trucks, excavators, dozers, graders, loaders or water carts
• Previous FIFO experience
• Experience supporting large-scale civil, mining or TSF projects
• Strong breakdown and diagnostics experience
