IMMEX is a specialised occupational medical practice which provides treatment and management of injured workers, pre-employment medical assessments, health surveillance, vaccination programs and health and wellbeing services.

We are seeking an enthusiastic nurse with experience in general or occupational medicine to assist with pre-employment medicals, injury treatment and other medical assessments at our Waterloo Clinic.
Our clinic hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. No Shift or weekend work
The successful candidate:
Must be able to work in this country without restriction
Must have a current (Medication Endorsed) registration with AHPRA
Must be a minimum of Enrolled nurse level
Must have a current CPR certificate
Certificates in Drug & Alcohol collection and Venipuncture, are desirable
Experience in Spirometry, Audiometry and ECG would be an asset
This position will be required to perform the following clinical and administrative duties:
Process pre-employment forms and review general health questionnaires.
Conduct medical assessments including height, weight, visual testing, urinalysis.
Conduct ECG's, spirometry, audiometry, alcohol breathalyser testing, urine drug testing and pathology collection.
Triage and assist in the treatment of injured workers
Administer medications and vaccines under the instruction of a Medical Practitioner
Liaise with treating doctors and physiotherapists
Attend to wound dressings.
Assist with minor procedures.
Clean, disinfect and sterilise medical instruments.
Assist with off-site client health visits or health surveillance projects
Perform any other related nursing duties
Data entry in clinical software
Perform basic admin duties such as responding to client enquiries, making appointments, scanning medical correspondence.
Manage clinical inventory
The successful candidate will also possess the following skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
Intermediate computer literacy
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong client focus, a 'can-do' attitude, together with the drive to make a real contribution within the practice.
