About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at Le Bon Care in Brisbane. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing personalised care and support.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks (including in SIL environment)

Facilitating recreational and social activities to promote client wellbeing and independence

Advocating for client needs and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support

Maintaining detailed records and documentation to monitor client progress

Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or a related field

Experience providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs

A minimum of 4-12 months experience providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities

A current driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

Current NDIS worker screening clearance
