We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional to support Council's Finance and Procurement functions. Working as part of a collaborative Finance team, you will assist in delivering accurate financial information, supporting key reporting processes, and contributing to continuous improvement across our financial operations.

- Temporary two-year contract, full-time (35 hours per week).
- Remuneration of $2,905.46 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,486.55 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

This position is based on-site, with in-office attendance forming an essential part of the role.
In this role, you will:
- Support the preparation of Council's Annual Financial Statements and other statutory reporting.
- Assist with long-term financial planning and internal management reporting.
- Support our revenue team by assisting with revenue accounting processes.
- Contribute to procurement at Council including assisting with purchasing activities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining financial policies, procedures and operating standards.
- Prepare financial reports and provide general financial support across the organisation.
What you will need to succeed:
- A Diploma or Certificate IV in Accounting, Finance or Business (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in business or finance administration.
- Proficiency with finance systems (TechnologyOne preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently when required.
- A current Class C Driver's Licence.
