About the role

Casa Security is seeking a skilled Electronic Security Technician to join our growing team in Perth, WA. This is a full-time position based in Perth WA 6000, offering an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of modern security solutions. As an Electronic Security Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of electronic security systems that protect properties and assets across the Perth region. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that our clients receive reliable, state-of-the-art security solutions that meet their evolving needs.

Candidates must have valid Australian work rights at the time of application.

Key responsibilities

Install, test and commission electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, alarms and integrated security solutions

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on security systems to ensure optimal functionality and reliability

Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty equipment and systems, identifying issues and implementing effective solutions

Respond promptly to emergency callouts and provide technical support to clients experiencing security system issues

Maintain detailed records of all installations, repairs, maintenance activities and system specifications

Liaise with clients to understand their security requirements and provide technical advice on suitable solutions

Comply with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards and company policies whilst on site

Keep abreast of new security technologies and techniques to continually enhance service delivery

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications or recognised apprenticeship in electronics, electrical work or security systems installation

Acceptable qualifications include Certificate III Electronics, Certificate IV Security, or Electrical Trade Certificate

Proven experience working as an electronic security technician

A minimum of 1-2 years' experience as an electronic security technician is required

Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, access control systems, alarm systems and integrated security technologies

Solid understanding of electrical systems, wiring, circuit design and technical troubleshooting methodologies

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues quickly and accurately

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients

Manual transmission Class C driver's licence is required for this position.

Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in various environmental conditions

High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
