Production Planner Required (Automotive Industry)

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Production Planner professional to join our client Planning team, based in Dandenong South.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and experience in a manufacturing environment who is looking for an immediate start.

About the Role

Reporting to the Pre-Production Leader, you will play a key role in supporting production planning activities, ensuring jobs are accurately planned, released, and maintained in line with production schedules. You will also assist with pre-production coordination and change management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the ERP system (Epicor) for planning and releasing production jobs across multiple facilities
• Plan, release, and manage production jobs to meet scheduling requirements
• Assign serial numbers and track job progress through to completion
• Assist with job closure and reporting processes
• Support fabrication planning and forecasting activities
• Coordinate in-house and outsourced production processes
• Assist with BOM maintenance across multiple sites
• Support pre-production and change management processes (PCRs)
• Provide general support to the Planning team as required

About You

• Previous experience in a production planning or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of MRP systems and material flow processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (essential)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
