Wellbeing Practitioner

Help veterans and their families overcome barriers, navigate complex systems and build a path towards better wellbeing.

At RSL Queensland, you'll work alongside veterans and their families to understand what they're facing, identify what matters most to them and help create practical, sustainable ways forward.
As a Wellbeing Practitioner, you'll provide trauma-informed, strengths-based case management across a diverse range of needs. You'll conduct holistic assessments, develop support plans, coordinate services and help clients navigate health, housing, financial and community support systems.
You'll manage an active caseload of approximately 15–20 clients, working alongside veterans, families and service providers to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Deliver trauma-informed, strengths-based case management
  • Conduct holistic assessments and develop support plans
  • Coordinate health, housing, financial and community services
  • Support veterans experiencing financial hardship, homelessness or other complex circumstances
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and key service partners
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate case records

About you
You're a compassionate and capable practitioner who builds trust, works well with complexity and is committed to helping veterans and their families achieve meaningful outcomes.

You'll bring:

  • A degree in Human Services, Health Sciences or an equivalent qualification.
  • Eligibility for registration or membership with a relevant professional body such as AASW, PACFA or AHPRA
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong experience in strengths-based case management
  • The ability to work with empathy and professionalism in highly sensitive environments
  • Strong relationship-building, communication and advocacy skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and external service providers

An understanding of the ADF environment and the unique needs of the veteran community will be highly regarded.
