My client is a growing Tier 2 civil contractor with family values, and has grown expediently of late and is continuing to do so. Delivering packages in excess of $30m, they self perform their own projects whilst also subcontracting to Tier 1's on some of VIC's largest projects. The current Operations Manager I know very well, having dealt with him for a number of years. He is looking for an experienced project Manager that can deliver a self-perform $40m project. Real family values all while delivering quality and submerged in some of Victoria's busiest sectors.

Your new role

You will be responsible for direct delivery of a $40m civil / structures project- a Substation
Delivering the civil, structures and fit-out packages - external Elec subcontractor delivering the services component
The project is a substation involving civil, FRP, building works.
You will be responsible for overseeing planning, delivery, budget, schedule, stakeholders, risk and compliance across complex, mission-critical projects. Works will include earthworks, drainage, piling, FRP, building works.
Strong focus on capability to manage and drive subbies, cost tracking, forecasting.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience on similar construction project.

What you'll need to succeed

Civil / Engineering / Construction Degree
10 years+ experience working for a Victorian Tier 2 or civil / building contractor

Strong communication and confidence to deal with site duties / subbies
Project experience; buildings/structures/FRP, earthworks, roads, etc
Able to be based on site West Melbourne
