About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Valuer/Director to join our team on a full-time basis in Coffs Harbour, NSW. As Senior Commercial Valuer/Director, you will play a crucial role in driving the commercial valuation division forward on the North Coast, and contributing to the firm's growth and reputation in the competitive North Coast and regional NSW property market. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of valuation practice.

Key responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive commercial property valuations across a diverse portfolio of asset classes, including office, retail, industrial, mixed-use and investment properties. Experience in Going Concern asset types will be highly regarded

Provide expert valuation advice and strategic guidance to institutional clients, property developers, financial institutions and corporate clients

Manage client relationships and business development activities to expand the firm's commercial valuation services and market presence

Develop and implement valuation methodologies and strategies tailored to specific property types and market conditions

Review and quality-assure valuations prepared by junior valuers, ensuring adherence to valuation standards and professional ethics, compliance with bank panels and other relevant professional standards

Contribute to strategic planning and business growth initiatives for the commercial valuation division

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of commercial property market trends, investment criteria and valuation methodologies

Mentor and provide professional development guidance to junior and mid-level valuation staff

Prepare detailed valuation reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders

Grow the business to ultimately support up to 3 Valuers.

What we're looking for

Minimum 8+ years' post- CPV qualification experience in commercial property valuation, with substantial experience gained within a reputable valuation firm or major real estate advisory practice

Relevant tertiary qualifications in property valuation, real estate, or related discipline, with professional membership of the Australian Property Institute (API) or equivalent recognized body

Demonstrated expertise in valuing a broad range of commercial property types, including office, retail, industrial and investment properties

Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies including the income capitalization approach, sales comparison approach and cost approach

Proven ability to manage complex, high-value valuations and provide strategic advice to institutional and corporate clients

Experience in business development and client relationship management within a professional services environment

Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing and mentoring valuation teams

Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex valuation concepts to diverse audiences

Proficiency in valuation software and Microsoft Office suite

Current CPD compliance and commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuing education

Preferred: Experience with Going concern assets will be highly regarded.

Preferred: Established client base highly regarded.
