We're partnering with a Australian Household name to recruit a Senior Commercial Analyst into their Commercial Finance team.

Reporting to a highly regarded Senior Finance Manager, this role sits at the centre of operations and finance, supporting a significant network of sites across NSW and ACT. It's a genuine business partnering position where you'll work closely with operational leaders, helping them understand performance, identify opportunities and make better commercial decisions.

The Role
This is much more than a reporting role. You'll be the key finance contact for NSW/ACT operations, partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide insights, challenge thinking and help drive performance.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Budgeting and forecasting
• Financial modelling and business case support
• Performance reporting and variance analysis
• Identifying risks and opportunities across the state operation
• Providing commercial insights to operational leaders
• Supporting national projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Helping translate financial information into practical business outcomes
• Regularly engaging with Business Partners, Operations Managers, Workforce Planning and senior state leadership teams.

Success in this role won't come from being the most technical finance person in the room. The hiring manager is looking for someone who can see the bigger picture, build credibility with stakeholders and use financial insights to influence decisions.

About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

You'll bring:

• CA/CPA qualification (or close to completion)
• 5+ years' experience within commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering or operational finance
• Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
• Experience analysing large volumes of data and turning it into meaningful insights
• Confidence working directly with operational stakeholders
• The ability to explain financial concepts in a simple, practical way
• A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach
