Our client is a leading provider of municipal vehicles and specialist equipment, including refuse trucks, sweepers, vacuum/jetting units, bulk waste equipment and static compactors.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking multiple Permanent Full-Time Service Technicians to join their Campbellfield workshop team.
This is a hands-on role suited to qualified tradespeople with experience in heavy vehicle, diesel, plant, mechanical fitting, fabrication or maintenance, particularly those comfortable working across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
Available Shifts
Early Shift: 6:00am–2:30pm | Friday 6:00am–12:00pm
Late Shift: 9:30am–6:00pm | Friday 12:00pm–6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
Service, repair and maintain heavy municipal vehicles and specialist equipment.
Fabricate, repair and maintain vehicle bodies and structural components.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
Rebuild and repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps and valves.
Complete breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance.
Carry out equipment upgrades, modifications and installations.
Complete service records and maintenance documentation.
Support apprentices and junior technicians where required.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop.
About You
We are looking for qualified tradespeople with strong mechanical skills and a practical approach to fault-finding and repairs.
Relevant trade backgrounds include:
Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic
Plant Mechanic
Mechanical Fitter
Maintenance Fitter
Mechanical trade with strong heavy equipment experience
Experience with the following will be highly regarded:
Heavy vehicles, trucks or mobile plant
Hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps and valves
Automotive/heavy vehicle electrical systems
Waste trucks, sweepers, vacuum/jetting or similar specialist equipment
Welding and fabrication – MIG, TIG or Stick
Auto electrical fault-finding
You will also need to own your own general mechanical tools and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a skilled workshop team.
