Product Manager | SaaS Platform
Melbourne | $150,000–$170,000 + Super + ESP
Help shape the SaaS products thousands of professional services businesses rely on to onboard customers, manage work, automate processes and run their day-to-day operations.

  • Own meaningful customer problems across onboarding, workflow, practice management and platform capabilities.
  • Work closely with Engineering to untangle complex product and technical challenges across an established SaaS platform.
  • Use customer insight, data and AI to improve workflows, reduce manual effort and make the product simpler to use.

About the Business
Join one of Australia's leading B2B SaaS businesses, building products used by thousands of professional services businesses across Australia and international markets. The platform sits at the centre of how customers run their businesses, supporting everything from onboarding and day-to-day workflows through to operational processes, compliance and client management.
With continued investment across Product and Technology, the team is evolving an established product ecosystem while improving the experience for customers and modernising the technology underneath it. You'll be joining a mature Product organisation with strong Engineering, Design and Product capability and plenty of complex problems still to solve.

About the Role
You'll join a team responsible for the products professional services businesses use to manage and operate their own practices.
The remit spans onboarding, practice management, workflows, operational tooling and the underlying platform capabilities that connect these experiences together. There is a mix of established functionality, new customer problems to solve, regional requirements and technical debt to work through. You'll need to understand where customers are getting stuck, work out what matters most, and partner closely with Engineering and Design to decide what the team should tackle next.
There will also be opportunities to look at how AI and automation can remove manual work, simplify workflows and create better experiences for customers. The scope will evolve, so we're looking for someone comfortable moving between discovery, prioritisation and delivery rather than needing a perfectly defined roadmap handed to them.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own customer problems from discovery through to delivery and iteration.
  • Spend time with customers to understand their workflows, pain points and unmet needs.
  • Turn customer insight, product data and business context into clear priorities.
  • Make thoughtful trade-offs across customer value, commercial impact, engineering effort and technical debt.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design to shape solutions and work through technical constraints.
  • Improve onboarding, workflow and operational experiences across the platform.
  • Work across APIs, integrations and connected platform capabilities where required.
  • Navigate different customer groups, regional requirements and compliance considerations.
  • Define clear measures of success and use data to understand whether the work is creating the intended outcome.
  • Identify practical opportunities to use AI and automation across both the product and the way the team works.
  • Influence teams and stakeholders outside your immediate squad to get the right customer outcome.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a strong Product Manager who can demonstrate good judgement, curiosity and ownership.
You'll likely bring:

  • 4+ years' Product Management experience, ideally within B2B SaaS, enterprise software, workflow products or a complex digital platform.
  • Strong customer discovery skills and evidence of using customer insight to shape product decisions.
  • Experience owning problems end-to-end, from defining the problem and validating assumptions through to delivery and measuring the outcome.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and examples of making difficult trade-offs rather than trying to solve everything at once.
  • Confidence partnering closely with Engineering and working through technical constraints, dependencies and technical debt.
  • Experience operating across complex workflows, multiple stakeholders or connected product experiences.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence people outside your direct team.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how Product decisions connect to customer value and business outcomes.
  • Comfort working with APIs, integrations or platform capabilities. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable having technical Product conversations.
  • Practical curiosity around AI and automation, with examples of how you're already using AI in your Product work or to improve customer workflows.

Experience within accounting, professional services software or practice management would be useful, but isn't required. Strong Product Management capability matters more than having worked in the exact domain before.

Why Apply?
You'll be joining a sophisticated Product and Technology environment with the scale of an established SaaS business and plenty of meaningful Product problems still to solve.
You'll have the opportunity to work across products that customers use every day, solve complex workflow and platform challenges, partner with experienced Engineering and Design teams, and have real input into how the experience evolves.
For someone who enjoys getting close to customers, working through ambiguity and turning complicated problems into simple products, there is plenty here to get your teeth into.
