About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail oriented FP&A to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on working with numbers and enjoys transforming financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision making.

You will partner closely with our Operations, Drilling and Geology teams to deliver financial insights that support strategic decisionmaking. Your role will focus on analysing project performance, developing financial models, monitoring budgets and expenditure, forecasting business performance, and translating operational data into meaningful commercial insights. You will also ensure the accuracy of financial data through project coding, reconciliations and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

Develop financial reports and forecasting tools to support operational and strategic decision making.

Monitor project expenditure against budgets and investigate variances.

Analyse drilling costs, production metrics, operational rates and project performance.

Develop and maintain financial business models to support project evaluation and business growth initiatives.

Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Work closely with operations to ensure financial data accurately reflects project activities.

Perform financial reconciliations across multiple projects and areas of the business.

Maintain accurate project coding and ensure expenditure is allocated correctly.

Assist with month end reporting and financial analysis.

About You

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline

Previous experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), financial analysis, management accounting or a similar analytical finance role

Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial models, large datasets and reporting tools

Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and project cost analysis

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high quality work

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

Confident communicator who can work collaboratively with operational teams and explain financial information to non financial stakeholders

A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimisation
