Our client is a specialist restructuring and insolvency practice with a national footprint and one of the strongest appointment volumes in the market. Independent by design, they've built a reputation for handling the full spectrum of engagements rather than concentrating on one appointment type — which is exactly why the work stays interesting.
The principals came through firms including BDO, PKF and Ferrier Hodgson. They are hands-on, technically excellent, and known for developing the people around them rather than delegating and disappearing.

The role

Working directly with the principals and senior staff, you'll take carriage of files across a broad appointment mix, including:

• Small business restructures
• Creditors' voluntary liquidations
• Voluntary administrations and DOCAs
• Court liquidations and informal turnaround work

You'll be involved in investigations, statutory reporting, creditor and director liaison, asset realisations and recoveries — with real responsibility from the outset and the support to grow into it.

About you

• Minimum 2 years' experience in insolvency and corporate recovery within an Australian practice
• Sound working knowledge of the Corporations Act and the relevant statutory processes
• Confident dealing directly with directors, creditors and other stakeholders
• CA or CPA qualified, part-qualified, or with a genuine intention to complete
• Strong written work — reports that don't need rewriting
