Make a Difference Every Day as a Home Care Worker!
Join Anglicare Southern Queensland's Townsville Home & Community team as a Permanent Part-Time Home Care Worker and help Queenslanders live safely, independently and comfortably in their own homes.
Every day is different. You'll build meaningful relationships with clients, support them with everyday activities and, most importantly, help them continue doing the things that matter to them.
A minimum of 3 days availability across weekdays is preferred.
What you'll do:
As a Home Care Worker, you'll provide practical and personal support that helps our clients maintain their independence and enjoy life at home.
Your day may include:
- Supporting clients with personal care, including hygiene, dressing and grooming.
- Helping with shopping, transport, respite and other activities of daily living.
- Assisting clients with domestic tasks to keep their homes safe and comfortable.
- Supporting clients to stay socially connected and engaged with their community.
- Assisting with medication within the scope of your role and competency.
- Following individual care plans and daily schedules to ensure clients receive the right support.
- Building genuine, respectful relationships with clients and making a positive difference in their day.
- Completing accurate documentation and records as required.
Mandatory requirements:
- Completion of Module HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication (or commitment to obtain)
- Completion of Module HLTAAP001 - Recognise healthy body systems (or commitment to obtain)
- Current National Police Certificate OR NDIS Clearance
- Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability Services or equivalent
