Sydney | Hybrid | 12 month FTC

We're partnering with a leading life insurer to recruit a System Accountant to join their Finance Systems & Reinsurance team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in enhancing Oracle Finance platforms, supporting major transformation initiatives, and helping shape the future of financial reporting.

Working closely with Finance, Actuarial, Technology and external partners, you'll bridge the gap between finance and systems, driving improvements across Oracle ERP & EPM while ensuring the integrity of financial data and reporting.

The Opportunity In this role, you will:

• Support and enhance Oracle ERP & EPM applications, including FCCS, PBCS and TRCS
• Partner with Finance, Actuarial and Technology teams to deliver system enhancements and transformation initiatives
• Support system implementations, upgrades, testing and release activities
• Improve financial processes, controls and reporting capabilities
• Document current and future state processes
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity and governance of financial data
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes
• Contribute to Agile project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives

About You
You'll bring a blend of accounting knowledge and finance systems expertise, with the ability to communicate effectively across both business and technology teams.

Ideally you'll have:

• Strong experience working with Oracle ERP and/or Oracle EPM (FCCS, PBCS, TRCS)
• Solid accounting knowledge and a good understanding of financial reporting
• Experience delivering finance system implementations or transformation projects
• Exposure to financial controls, testing, integrations and data management
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong analytical skills

Highly Regarded

• CA or CPA qualification
• IFRS 17 experience
• Experience within life insurance or financial services
• Exposure to Oracle Fusion, ORMB or OFSAA
