The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Apple Services Technician to join our school’s ICT Help Desk team. This is an entry-level role, ideally suited to someone who enjoys technology, problem solving, and helping others feel confident using digital tools.

In this role, you will provide front-line technical support to staff and students across the College, with a focus on Apple devices, applications, and services. You will assist with troubleshooting, device setup, basic repairs, user support, and general help desk requests.

Working as part of a supportive ICT team, you will help ensure our students and staff can access reliable, responsive, and friendly technology support every day.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing first-level help desk support for staff and students

Troubleshooting Apple devices, including iPads, MacBooks and related peripherals

Assisting with device setup, configuration, updates and basic maintenance

Supporting users with common software, login, connectivity and classroom technology issues

Logging, prioritising and updating help desk tickets

Escalating more complex technical issues to senior ICT staff

Supporting the rollout, collection and management of College-owned devices

Providing patient, professional and approachable customer service

Contributing to a positive, solutions-focused ICT service culture

Our newest team member (you)

You are someone who enjoys helping people and has a genuine interest in technology. You do not need to have extensive experience, but you will bring a willingness to learn, a calm approach to problem solving, and a strong service mindset. You may be starting your ICT career, studying in a related field, or looking for an opportunity to build your technical skills in a supportive school environment.

You will ideally bring:

An interest in Apple technology, including iPads, MacBooks and macOS/iOS

A helpful, patient and professional communication style

Strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow processes

The ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues

A positive attitude and willingness to learn from others

Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing requests

Confidence working with students, teachers and support staff

An understanding of privacy, confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries in a school environment

Previous experience in a help desk, ICT support, customer service, retail technology, Apple support, or school-based technology environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their ICT career while working in a friendly, values-based school community.
