The Role
The Casual Qualified Chef is an integral part of delivering an exceptional dining experience for Members and Guests of The Adelaide Club. As an exclusive Member’s only venue, The Club offers dining and functions in a range of settings. The Club features several different dining areas, including the traditional Dining Rooms, silver-service and fine dining in the contemporary-styled Annexe on the Second Floor, and the recently renovated Basement Downatairs@165 area with its Courtyard atrium, ‘green wall’ and modern bistro style menu. The Casual Chef will work closely with the Executive Head Chef/ Head Chefs to lead a team of highly skilled chefs and kitchen staff to deliver the highest quality of service across its three kitchens. A seven-day roster can be considered for the right applicant with a minimum of 15 hours per week available. Work-life balance is supported with closures on most public holidays and a significant shutdown over the Christmas and New Year’s period.

· Demonstrated experience in a similar role with qualifications
· Team focused with exceptional people skills
· Wide knowledge range of diverse cuisines and ability to develop menus to suit themes
· Exceptional time management skills and ability to work under pressure
· Professional and collaborative approach to working in a management team
· Knowledge of and a high level of respect for WHS requirements
Benefits
The successful applicant will receive a competitive hourly rate of $39.00-$45.00 per hour plus Super commensurate with experience. The Adelaide Club places a high level of value on work life balance and looking after its employees.
